Join Nanny Boppins each Tuesday morning at 10AM through March to explore all the things “In the Garden.” Each week we will learn about a new topic, from what the change of season to Autumn means for our gardens and environment, how seeds grow, to growing edibles and exploring the wonderful world of insects and mini beasts. Through songs, games, stories, mindfulness, craft and play, join our beloved Nanny Boppins each Tuesday for an educational and entertaining hour with your little one.
Tuesday 4 March
Our Autumn Garden
We’ll welcome in the new season of Autumn this week and see what exciting things that means for us to find in nature. What are some fun things we can do in the garden when the weather starts to cool down and what happens to the leaves on the trees? Enjoy crafting an Autumn Collage and read along with Nanny Boppins with a special Autumn storybook.
Tuesday 11 March
This week Nanny Boppins will explore things that grow in the garden, starting with a seed and the journey of how it turns into a beautiful flower. Pot your seeds at the craft table with your little one and watch over the month to see them grow. We will explore the journey of the seed turning into a plant through musical activities, games, story and play.
Tuesday 18 March
Garden Edibles
This week Nanny Boppins will introduce all of the edible things that we can grow in our very own gardens. We will explore fresh fruit, vegetables and herbs and have examples for the children to experience. Have fun creating a fruit bowl collage at the craft table and enjoy an hour of educational musical activities, instruments, story and fun for the children and their parents.
Tuesday 25 March
Insects and Minibeast in the Garden
Join Nanny Boppins as we go on a nature walk through our Mini Town session today. See if you can identify the many insects. We’ll learn about the importance of bees and pollination and through music, dance, story and educational games we’ll explore the wonderful world of insects in our gardens. The story this week will be “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” and the children will be crafting their very own Hungry Caterpillars at the craft table!
